Smartsheet is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Sydney team. This role will have a focus on our Brandfolder product serving our Digital Asset Management (DAM) line of business. You will be the primary technical lead on DAM focused PreSales opportunities across the APAC region. With a commitment to investing in the APAC region to better serve new and existing customers in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the greater Asia-Pacific geography, Smartsheet opened up its third international office in Sydney in January 2020. This is an opportunity to be a part of Smartsheet at this exciting time, working with an outstanding team to build and expand the Smartsheet brand across an established market.
You Will:
Identify, build, and demonstrate Smartsheet product solutions that solve specific customer problems, with a product focus on Brandfolder DAM and Marketing and Creative Management use cases
Lead technical sales engagements, collaborate closely with sales teams to identify customer requirements, summarize challenges, designs solutions, and provide technical guidance that demonstrates the value of Smartsheet's offerings
Conduct discovery sessions to uncover business processes and challenges to inform the sales and solution delivery strategy
Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams to provide a great overall customer experience and drive revenue growth
Grow and maintain knowledge for all Smartsheet products, services, and competitors
Participate in cross-functional and department-wide projects that support strategic initiatives
Assist with responses to RFPs and Security Assessments, owning product, technical, and security portions
Identify and communicate best practices across Sales Reps, segments, and sales cycles to continually optimize our sales process
Provide feedback to Product teams to ensure that our solutions continue to align with customer needs
Transition new customers to Implementation Team while providing technical support during onboarding process
Periodically travel to customer sites as a technical subject matter expert
You Have:
At least 2 years of experience as a PreSales Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Solution Architect, or related field in the SaaS and enterprise B2B software industry
Critical thinking skills, a growth mindset, and experience analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing complex problems
Working knowledge of technical components of cloud SaaS products and integrations (APIs, cloud storage, app modernization, security)
Comfort working in ambiguous and high-pressure situations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Relentless curiosity and a commitment to excellence
Bias toward action and intellectual curiosity
Bonus Points For
Previous experience working with the Brandfolder platform
DAM, MAM, ECM, WCM, CMS, CWM, PIM experience
Adobe Creative Cloud and/or technical creative workflow familiarity
Technical depth in APIs, web app architecture, cloud computing, security
Track record of leading presentations and influencing revenue
Experience in product marketing or software development
Experience writing technical requirements
Previous work experience in a startup environment
