We are looking for a customer obsessed leader for a position as Senior Director of Solution Marketing reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Marketing. You will lead a team of experienced marketers focused on messaging, positioning, content development, and go-to-market strategies for our most strategic solution areas to deepen engagement and accelerate growth. You will demonstrate strategic marketing vision and leadership, cross-team and executive alignment, and a passion for developing the right customer experience across all of our solution areas.
You will be based at our headquarters in Bellevue, WA or you also have the option to work from any Smartsheet registered location within the United States.
You will report to the Vice President of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Set the strategic solution marketing vision based on a clear understanding of the Smartsheet platform, customer needs, market and competitive landscape, trends and opportunities.
Develop a team of solution marketers and create an environment for success, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
Drive cross-organization and global alignment around Smartsheet’s solution Marketing function including partnering with the product team, sales team and customer excellence team to prioritize resources that create the biggest business impact.
Support the field organizations with resources such as personas, use case-based value propositions, sales scripts, messaging guides, and presentations to enhance sales effectiveness.
Identify ways to grow our solution marketing efforts globally, optimize across the team and push boundaries on new approaches.
Advocate for our customers across all conversations and projects. Be an essential spokesperson for the business for strategic audiences, delivering clear and compelling communications.
Set clear and measurable metrics, and foster a “test and learn” approach to improve performance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
10+ years marketing experience in enterprise technologies, including experience in cloud / SaaS environments.
Experience in leadership roles, with both direct reports and across teams.
Experience working across marketing, sales and product management.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders regarding matters of significance.
Experience and metric-driven success in marketing to specific audiences and industries.

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $226,800 to $313,200 | All other US States: $210,000 to $290,000
