The Smartsheet Control Center Team seeks a curious and passionate Frontend and/or Full Stack Software Engineer. They will help us build enterprise-grade applications within the Portfolio Collaborative Work Management space, an area that grew 4x year-over-year. Our application manages three significant areas that serve our customers: A feature-rich config management tool that allows power users the ability to create their business processes; A fast and reliable orchestration engine that runs millions of distributed transactions per day; A global management service that alters the attributes of Project assets and ensures the state of the Portfolio is running effectively and updates are managed at-scale.

Our Engineering team members are passionate about working on various projects using various technologies. We are a self-operating service team and use a diverse set of Frontend (JavaScript, TypeScript, React), Backend (Ruby/Java), and Cloud-native services (AWS).
This position will report to our Manager, Engineering and can be based remotely from anywhere within the United States where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:
Design, implement, and deliver production complete solutions
Evangelize best practices in software development and software methodologies
Automate repetitive tasks to increase productivity and efficiency
Contribute relevant and concise documentation
Promote agility as much as reliability and scalability
You Have:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of engineering experience in a team environment
2+ years of experience in service-oriented architecture, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure
Proficient in at least one high-level programming language, such as Ruby, Java, Go, Python, and Typescript
Experience with modern client JS libraries, like React, Redux, and runtime
You have a strong knowledge of OOP and REST design principles
Clear and objective writing and in-person communication
Curiosity to learn new technologies and systems

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $145,800 to $210,600 | All other US States: $135,000 to $195,000
