MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Finance Transformation Specialist to join the Finance Team ! Individual reports to SVP, Strategy Finance and Analysis. Role is remote - must reside in the United States.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Transformation Specialist with experience in revenue recognition ASC 606 and automation skills in Alteryx and Python is a pivotal role within the finance department of a modern organization. This role combines financial expertise with technological proficiency to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in revenue recognition processes and financial operations.
Your usual day of awesomeness includes:
ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Expertise :
Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Ensure compliance with ASC 606 regulations by analyzing complex revenue arrangements, identifying performance obligations, and assessing transaction price allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret contracts and assess their impact on revenue recognition.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ASC 606 standards and guidance.
Financial Process Transformation :
Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations, particularly in revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting.
Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance accuracy.
Drive transformation initiatives to optimize financial workflows and minimize errors.
Automation Skills :
Utilize Alteryx to automate data preparation and cleansing tasks, allowing for more efficient analysis and reporting.
Develop and maintain automated financial models and reports using Python.
Implement robotic process automation (RPA) solutions where applicable to improve operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
Work closely with compliance and audit teams to facilitate the auditing of revenue recognition processes.
Train finance and accounting teams on ASC 606 compliance and the use of automation tools.
Risk Mitigation and Compliance :
Identify and address potential risks related to revenue recognition, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Implement robust controls and documentation to support financial compliance.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
Extensive experience in revenue recognition, with a deep understanding of ASC 606.
Proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation and automation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
