The Challenge    The OneTrust Privacy Associate is a member of the OneTrust Global Privacy Team which requires an individual with legal expertise who can translate that expertise into practical advice. The Global Privacy Team is a dynamic group that maintains OneTrust’s global privacy compliance program, contributes to product discussions, and produces white papers, blog posts, webinars, and training materials about important privacy and security-related topics. The individual in this position needs to be able to produce that content quickly and thoughtfully. Familiarity with privacy law and related experience is also essential. An excellent working knowledge of the EU and UK GDPR, as well as CCPA and other US privacy laws is necessary and a CIPP/E, CIPP/US or CIPP/M is preferred.    Your Mission    Assist the counsel and senior counsel in global day-to-day compliance tasks related to privacy and data protection across all the jurisdictions where we operate. Take active part in ‘customer zero’ initiative of OneTrust Privacy team being the first users of key new features in OneTrust privacy platform and ensuring that we leverage to the maximum capacity the platform for our privacy compliance program. Provide regular feedback on product gaps/features/OFIs based on your experience with the platform to help develop best-in-class privacy software features.    Support key privacy compliance strategic projects and initiatives, such as AI Governance, tracking technologies and user choice, compliance for sales and marketing outreach, third party risk assessment and management and liaison with the procurement team, evaluation of international data transfers, handle/manage subject access requests.    Assist with privacy side of audits (internal and external).    Support internal privacy compliance RFP escalations and customer compliance escalations.     Help Privacy Compliance team and the DPO meet global privacy compliance obligations and further mature OneTrust privacy program across key strategic projects.   Review marketing materials for legal accuracy.   Draft reports, white papers, Standard Operating Procedures and any other document that may be relevant to our internal privacy program.   Liaise with the commercial team where there are overlaps between the MSA and the DPA.   You Are    Coachable    Proactive   Detail-oriented and can focus on the right messaging    Independent self-starter and fast learner  Able to relay legal requirements to business audience and vice versa    Your Experience Includes:   JD or international equivalent    Min 2 years of relevant experience Research experience    Familiarity with data privacy regulatory requirements and compliance issues    Excellent writing and proofreading skills    Ability to work independently    Ability and willingness to travel (10%-20%)    Extra Awesome    Fluency in more than one language preferred.    CIPP/E certification, CIPM certification, or other privacy certifications    Post graduate degree (LLM) in Law and Technology, Privacy and Data Protection or similar.   Experience or familiarity with using OneTrust privacy software solution for compliance goals    Experience in a trade association, think-tank, university, consulting, law firm, compliance, and in-house    Benefits    As an employee at OneTrust, you will be a part of the OneTeam.
