Technical Project Manager

Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, and responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about. As a Technical Project Manager at Jackpocket, you will play an integral role in the continued development and delivery of Jackpocket’s business critical applications. You will spearhead sprint planning and serve as an intermediary between engineers and business stakeholders to clearly define, structure, and prioritize development projects and their components in order to facilitate the software development process.  Responsibilities Implement project management best practices according to Jackpocket’s processes while always looking for ways to make them more efficient Own scrum ceremonies and processes across multiple technical teams, establishing best practices and defining clear expectations for output and goals   Collaborate across technical and business stakeholders to define project plans, mitigate risks and manage expectations Work with project stakeholders to develop schedules and establish milestones   Ensure project progress against defined milestones and deadlines by holding the team accountable Communicate with and serve as the intermediary between stakeholders and technical counterparts, ensuring clearly defined, standardized, and properly prioritized tickets  Work to remove and prevent bottlenecks in the development lifecycle, liaising between and influencing project teams and stakeholders to achieve directives Ensure timely reporting on progress from key stakeholders, lead check-ins and retrospectives, and continually follow up on critical action items  Qualifications 5+ years experience leading technical projects, ideally in a fast paced or startup environment Knowledge of and experience facilitating scrum processes and ceremonies, CSM preferred but not required Outstanding communication and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with and influence technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency with Jira, admin experience a plus Analytical mindset and data driven approach to project management coupled with strong problem solving skills Willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams Must exhibit strong leadership skills to the team in order to meet their goals and objectives Why Jackpocket?
