What You'll Do Epic Games is searching for an experienced Lead Outsourcing Manager to partner with the development and content teams on Fortnite (www.fortnite.com). In this role, you’ll manage a team of Outsource Managers who work closely with the game dev, content and production teams to ensure that high-quality content and development work is being delivered by multiple external vendors. Key elements of this role are experience managing relationships with external partners, strong understanding of best practices for external development, ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams with exceptional transparency and planning, and a strong knowledge of how to properly structure, organize, mentor, and grow your team and external development efforts as a whole.  In this role, you will Drive development of the Outsource Management team by providing strong mentorship, guidance, and growth opportunities, and own Team Organization and Processes. Partner with Fortnite and Epic leadership to understand, plan and execute on outsource strategy for content creation and co-development across the company. Champion outsource development and best practices across Epic, building healthy partnerships and workflows with discipline and product teams. Collaborate with Epic’s internal contracts and procurement teams to understand industry standard rates for services and negotiate contract terms with external vendors. Drive the processes for tracking all external vendors: sourcing, evaluations, statements of work, and vendor expectations. Leverage your knowledge of vendors and pipelines to ensure productive partnerships and clear communication across the Epic organization. Manage and oversee contracts and invoice approvals, onboarding and handoff to Epic’s internal teams, and resource ramp up for external teams. Lead candid discussions with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan engagements, resolve issues, and enhance long term relationships. Use effective risk management strategies to properly scope for upcoming initiatives and projects across Epic.  What we're looking for 10+ years experience with outsourcing and external content and development management required, preferably for AAA games. Demonstrated understanding of game development process and how multiple external developers can be integrated into a fast-paced and quality-focused project. Highly organized, self-driven, goal-oriented, and a great team player able to work with some of the most talented developers in the industry. Strong ability to track, prioritize, and conscientiously follow through on multiple competing elements of work, in timely fashion, across groups with varying interests. Clear and concise communication, leadership, and people skills that cater appropriately to different levels of audience, from vendors and partner team members to Epic senior leaders.  This role is open to multiple locations (including CA, NYC, and WA). Pay Transparency Information The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
