As our Global Customs Manager, you’ll join the most experienced team at Flexport, you will help lead our Customs Brokerage Team to ensure client success. Ready to challenge the status quo? Keep reading!
You will:
Explain and maintain up to date complex knowledge of US import/export regulatory requirements to the customs team members and/or clients concerning all the rules and regulations of the 19 CFR and be the bridge between clients and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Participating Government Agencies (PGA’s).
Oversee and own responsibility for all customs entries and processes on your team, ensuring entries are filed with the highest accuracy possible, and provide quick feedback when errors are discovered.
Identify and collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development of key operational efficiencies through automation.
Own all aspects of managing and growing the Customs Brokerage organization in terms of day to day operations, account growth, and workload balancing.
Collaborate with other managers and above to make decisions that positively impact the customs organization.
You should have:
U.S. Customs Broker License
5 or more years of related work experience in the industry.
2 or more years in a management or supervisory role. Conduct performance reviews
BS/BA Degree (preferred)
Desire to understand, inspire, motivate, and grow direct reports
Ability to recommend and drive decisions while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, rules, and policies.
Excellent information seeking skills and drive to make things happen.
The ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses.
An analytical background and problem-solving skills.
Strong mindset towards advancing programs using emerging technologies.
The ability to recommend and drive decisions while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, rules, and policies.
