Build the programs to help Flexport grow! Build the interfaces that connect our people and systems The opportunity: Flexport IT is looking for a Staff Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer. In this role, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and administering IAM solutions to ensure the secure and efficient management of user identities and access privileges. Your expertise will be critical in automating workflows, protecting sensitive systems and data, mitigating security risks, and maintaining compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy IAM strategies, lead IAM projects, and provide technical leadership in this space. You Will: Design, implement, and maintain the end to end lifecycle of Identity and Access management. Drive solutions and project work. Administer IAM technologies and platforms including Okta, Active Directory, MFA, password management.  Automate workflows around provisioning, deprovisioning, and application access.  Establish and maintain identity governance processes, including role-based access control (RBAC), entitlement reviews, and access certification. Onboard new applications for  single sign-on. Develop and maintain technical operating procedures, policies, and roadmaps. Work closely with the Security team to ensure the platform is designed and implemented with security best practices. Mentor junior staff members.  Provide operations support. You Should Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or comparable experience). 7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems engineering. In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts and protocols, such as IGA, RBAC, MFA, LDAP, SCIM, SAML, OAuth. Strong hands-on experience with IAM tools and platforms, such as Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD or similar. Scripting, automation experience, Okta Workflows (or comparable solutions). Working knowledge of Google Workspace, AWS, Infrastructure is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. The US base salary range for this full-time position: (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits.) $138,631 — $162,000 USD
