The opportunity:
Flexport is experiencing massive growth with 3,500+ Flexporters across 17 global offices and warehouses. And we’re just getting started. Flexport is looking for a Bill Processing Associate Manager, Client Disputes. You’ll be responsible for managing a team that reviews disputes raised by clients on their Flexport invoices, disputing with vendors on behalf of the client and Flexport, or working internally with stakeholders to assist with dispute resolution. You'll be working cross-functionally to identify areas of opportunity regarding our vendor/client billing practices and continually look for ways to improve our audit and review process.
You will:
Do whatever it takes to help our customers to resolve billing-related questions and problems
Collaborate with Account Management and internal departments for dispute resolution
Provide tasks and responsibilities for team members
Manage team's KPIs, workload, and performance management
Be responsible for internal stakeholder management
Drive analytics creating visibility and feedback loops
Create continuous improvement - ongoing review of processes, quickly adapting to new information, and adjusting to organizational impacts
You should have:
BA/BS degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience
Experience and knowledge of the freight forwarding industry
Knowledge of Ocean, Trucking, Air, and Partner contracts is a plus
Leadership experience, whether through direct management, mentorship, or projects
Ability to coach employees to achieve results; needs to be able to have patience in seeing the success of your employees
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
SQL knowledge and experience
Attention to detail and follow-through
