Position Overview:
As the Director of Sales Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing our sales processes, driving sales performance, and ensuring data quality across the organization. This is a leadership position that requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, demonstrated track record of innovation and continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a team of sales operations professionals, including remote employees, to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success, to ensure alignment of processes and data integration across departments.
Collaborate with sales leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective strategies to enhance sales productivity.
Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, working closely with stakeholders to identify and address operational challenges.
Embed One Diligent philosophy into all cross-functional collaborations.
Management:
Oversee the administration and optimization of our Salesforce.com platform, ensuring it aligns with our business objectives.
Develop and implement best practices for sales processes, workflows, and reporting in Salesforce.com.
Drive the requirements to customize and configure Salesforce.com to meet the evolving needs of the sales team and other stakeholders.
Continuously monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to drive efficiency.
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain accurate and reliable data within Salesforce.com.
Lead efforts to cleanse, standardize, and validate sales data to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Implement data quality metrics and conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
Set and maintain a data quality standard that allows for increased data integrity (do we have a measure of this today and a goal we can set? You mentioned that this was an issue.)
Sales Process Enhancement:
Collaborate with sales leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective strategies to enhance sales productivity.
Develop, implement, and optimize sales processes with consideration for the entire process flow and all impacted teams.
Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to sales leadership.
Streamline sales operations by designing and implementing standardized sales processes, including lead management, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.
Implement One Diligent process flows and processes to ensure global and market consistency.
Training and Enablement:
Lead efforts to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for the sales team on Salesforce.com usage, process adherence, and best practices.
Stay up to date with the latest features and updates in Salesforce.com and provide ongoing training and support to ensure maximum utilization by the sales team.
Work with sales enablement team(s) to ensure current processes, documentation, and best practices are applied universally and consistently.
Required Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations, preferably in a SaaS environment.
Extensive experience in managing Salesforce.com processes, workflows, and reporting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sales data and provide actionable insights.
Demonstrated track record of improving sales productivity and operational efficiency.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, global teams.
com Administrator or Advanced Administrator certification is a plus.
Demonstrated history of process & system innovation and continuous improvement.
