Key Responsibilities Own the creation of technical content for Diligent’s global audience, including online help, in-product guides, and developer documentation. Lead and develop a dozen technical writers, guiding them to create and maintain repositories and deliverables that address the varied and complex needs of end users, developers, internal users, sellers, partners, and other content consumers. Translate the company’s goals into a vision and roadmap for scalable and sustainable technical content, working with contributors on your team to execute that vision and bring it to life. Wield your expertise in building content ecosystems to develop, coach, and mentor, helping to elevate and equip operational leaders. Standardize and mature the technologies, processes, and people structures that empower your team to make meaningful contributions, affect change, and be accountable for their work. Set standards for excellence and make those standards part of your team’s culture through clear expectations, paths to growth, education and enablement, and regular performance reviews. Work cross-functionally with other leaders in Product, Design, Localization, and Engineering to pitch the important role that content can play to support and enhance our solutions, and acquire, engage, and retain our customers. Required Experience/Skills Te chnical content expertise. You have empathy for the day-to-day activities of writers working in an agile/SaaS software organization because you’ve spent time crafting technical content of your own or leading in environments like that. You’re well acquainted with the typical issues facing consumers of content, like usability, findability, and accessibility. You have a history defining, scoping, and executing complex content projects that involve multiple authors and stakeholders. You also have experience with a broad sampling of industry-standard content production and delivery platforms. When you hear terms like single-sourcing, docs-as-code, and automation, these aren’t vague concepts, but calls to action. Experience with platform consolidations is a plus. L eadership . You’ve created teams in challenging environments before and know how to gain credibility, build trust, give direction, and inspire people to be more than they are today. You set clear expectations and when people don’t meet those expectations, you fix that, even if it means having difficult conversations. Strategic thinking . You’re comfortable allocating scarce resources effectively and making difficult decisions about where the team should focus its time. You deliver today without sacrificing the long-term. You understand the details, but you don’t get bogged down in them because you’re comfortable delegating the execution of your vision. A data-driven philosophy . You have experience using data and research to inform decisions and measure outcomes, and you cultivate this as a cultural value on your team and among your peers. Humility . You know this is a team sport and you foster that kind of environment. You understand that everyone has something to contribute and something to teach you. You lead by example and, when necessary, roll up your sleeves to contribute tactically if that’s what the team needs from you the most. Communication . You communicate through coaching and great storytelling skills. You help your team understand the focus of the business, and then help the business understand what your team does and why it matters. Preferred Experience/Skills You should have experience with a range of industry-standard tools for planning, managing, and delivering content projects over the web. Flare or similar help authoring platforms. GitHub or similar version control platforms. Jira or similar issue tracking platforms. Pendo or similar in-product content and analytics platforms. Google Analytics or similar data collection platforms. Bonus points if you thread conversations and avoid using  @here on Slack Multiple options can be selected.
