Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:
Responsible and accountable for the detailed design, development, test, and certification of the planned production eVTOL aircraft interior.
Responsible for consistent collaboration with the Industrial Design organization and implementation of best fit design
Direct management of key engineering deliverables from Tier 1 interior suppliers
Act as key company point of contact (POC) or subject matter expert (SME) for interior engineering and certification
Participate in process definition to support changes in maturity as Archer grows
Create, update, and report appropriate metrics to the Engineering Leadership Team
Excellent organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
Use CAD (NX) to ensure alignment between ID, Engineering, and Tier 1 vendor
What you need:
5+ years of experience with lightweight cabin and flight deck detailed design
Key senior individual contributor or management role in a certified aircraft interior program
5+ years of CAD experience (NX preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related field
Extensive experience with the design of
Lightweight aircraft, helicopter, or automotive interiors
Lightweight, high production volume manufacturing methods
Ability to design and analyze complex components and integrated systems
Experience with analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances
Knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft and their practical applications
Experience in design for manufacturing - specifically for cabin structure processes
Excellent organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
Self-starter, team player, and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an engineering field or related field
Human Factors experience
At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $129,000.00-$193,500. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
