Commercial Finance Manager – ApplicationsStatus: Exempt (salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryPlug is seeking an experienced finance business partner to support its Applications business unit with their financial objectives. The Commercial Finance Manager will be the finance lead over all sales commission processes, playing a critical role in supporting both the Material Handling and Stationary commercial leadership teams, enabling them to accomplish both their sales and booking targets. This leader will be required to provide deal structure and financial analysis on key new business offerings. They will be seen as the linkage between commercial and operational activities to ensure appropriate ownership and accountability on deal execution for the Applications business unit. They will also support the commercial organization by managing targets in an effort to accomplish growth goals. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, growing organization.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive fact-based financial and operational analysis to assist in the creation of meaningful, actionable conclusions to drive decision making Support Material Handling and New Markets commercial teams with deal score carding, assessing profitability of individual deals.Support commercial teams on optimal deal structures and develop standardize processes for efficient execution. Partner with product management on pricing and new product launches, ensuring profitable growth.Manage company bookings process, ensuring accurate tracking and measurement processes.Lead sales commissions process from a finance perspective. Support linkage between commercial and operational activities to ensure appropriate ownership and accountability on deal execution.Publish monthly/quarterly commercial analysis of actual results versus budget along with findings and conclusions.Provide operational insight for the leadership team, allowing the team to understand and manage the business at optimal levelsPrepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the leadership team for business needs.Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingIndependently manage and execute special projects as required with buy in from functional business partners and senior management.Build and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationships.Perform all other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA/CPA license preferredSeven (7) plus years of related work experience within a financial role.Strong grasp of US GAAPComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
