As a Facilities Security Officer, you will develop and administer local security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. You will ensure local procedures align with corporate security policies and applicable government regulations. Learn more about Sierra Space  Primary Responsibilities: Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsibility for large and diverse business area campus, developing and implementing policy and processes to ensure full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)Manage and mentor direct-report security team members, with focus on core/collateral programs and common service support (PERSEC, program/industrial security, badging/credentialing, security education, etc.) Enables and supports the activities of the primary and alternate CPSO/CSSO on multiple programs/contracts, coordinating the development and implementation of policy and processes as required to meet both regulatory and management-driven requirementsServe as the area Senior Program Security Representative (PSR) providing lifecycle security oversight to multiple DoD program activities spanning numerous Sierra Space and US Government facilitiesResponsible for implementation and support of facility access proceduresMaintain records of security clearances for employees and visitorsImplement procedures for safeguarding classified material for which the facility is responsibleManage DD Form 254 generation, review and coordinationAssist in the preparation of documentation and manuals outlining organizational processes, and providing the business area with relevant security policy guidance, with emphasis on special programs materialsMaintain liaison with government program security contactsPrepare and submit required security reports to DCSA, other cognizant security activities, and/or other customer officials as requiredLead facility security inspections and participate in security program self-assessment initiatives, ensuring compliance with security regulations prescribed by multiple USG agenciesParticipate in after-hours alarm response requirementsCoordinate classified computing activities with ISSM/ISSOProvide security assistance to other Sierra Space locations when requested. Support Security Director with special tasks as assignedParticipate in the development and implementation of corporate-wide security policies and related working groups and project initiatives. Limited domestic required, to include Sierra Space  company facilities and customer organization installationsMust Haves:Bachelor's degree in security management, systems security, cybersecurity or related disciplineRelevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Minimum of 1-year experience in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP) desiredExtensive knowledge of both government and industrial security to analyze evaluate and interpret current security requirements Preferred:Typically, 4 - 6 years of relevant management experienceCOMSEC certificationInternational FOCI experienceAt least two years of FSO practical experience with DoD FSO certificationAbility to balance security requirements with Sierra Space mission, goals, and cultureStrong communication skills, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects; ability to work with people in a team environment and deal effectively with changing project prioritiesAbility to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutionsHigh degree of attention to detailActive Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Learn more about the background check process for Security ClearancesIMPORTANT NOTICE: To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
