Our designers use creative and innovative solutions to deliver high-quality experiences our customers will love.In this role, you will be able to apply and grow your design and research skills as you help us craft the next generation of functionality and workflows within Autodesk Fusion360.  You will work with a talented team of UX designers, as well as with stakeholders from Product Management, Software Engineering, Software Architecture and Content Development to create compelling experiences that help our customers solve their most critical design and manufacturing challenges.We’re looking for designers who are passionate about understanding the needs of our customers and building strong empathy for the work that they do.  Your role will be to clearly communicate customer requirements and to craft experience solutions that delight our customers while also meeting business objectives & deadlines.At Autodesk, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges, partner with inclusive and innovative colleagues within your team and across the business, travel to customer events and more.Preference for candidates to work hybrid/remote from our Toronto offices.***Must include your resume and portfolio with password when applying***ResponsibilitiesParticipate in user research activities to gather requirements; this includes interviews, ethnographic observation, workflow analyses and contextual inquiryCommunicate customer requirements through storytelling, interactive prototypes and detailed visual/functional design specificationsCraft alternative design proposals to validate with customers and internal stakeholdersWork with Development & Product Management partners to negotiate project scope and ensure customer experience is one of the three core considerations in product planning (Viability, Desirability, Feasibility)Deliver design documentation for use by a wide range of audiences including Software Development, Test Development, Technical Publications, Sales and MarketingReview feature implementation, test plans and documentation to ensure accuracy of desired application resultsLeads efforts to work collaboratively across teams and orgs to ensure cohesive workflowsMaintain familiarity with other company products and competitive products to ensure compatibility with proposed feature setsLead presentations and discussions with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to drive resolution on proposed features and functionalityLook beyond immediate experience challenges to understand how solutions fit into a larger ecosystem, across channels, touch points and platformsMinimum Qualifications 8+ years of related professional user experience design and customer research experienceCurrent portfolio of commercial UX project workDemonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams in problem definition and analysis, understanding customer workflows, creating prototypes and designs that solve customer problemsAbility to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagramsAbility to present designs to a wide range of audiences, including software development, quality assurance, learning content development, marketing, and salesUp-to-date expertise in human-centred design best practicesExperience with designing and conducting customer research using various methods, including interviewing, contextual inquiry, usability testing, etc.Excellent visual and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas, and large amounts of data and viewpoints, to their essenceUp-to-date expertise in human-centred design best practicesPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in interaction design or related fieldExperience designing for enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, and multiple devicesExperience with Agile software design methodsExperience with Autodesk or comparable competitive productsAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
