Job Requisition ID #23WD69170Position OverviewAt Autodesk, the DXC Digital Assist-Learn Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated Publishing Tools Engineer to join a team whose efforts are part of the digital transformation of the company. Your focus will be to develop, support and manage our content authoring and publishing pipelines. We’ve built an innovative, highly scalable knowledge platform that enables us to deliver the right learning, help and support content to the right people at the right time across multiple channels, both on our web sites and inside our design and collaboration product lines. In addition to possessing technical skills with AWS, Jenkins & Docker, you should have a strong sense of ownership and be able to drive projects through to completion autonomously.As the Knowledge Platform Publishing Tools Engineer, you will be an integral part of the scrum team that owns and operates the Knowledge Platform, working closely with engineers, content authors, experience designers, and product managers. You will develop and enhance the publishing process while supporting the content authors with their publishing needs across the company. ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, debug, and document new and existing functional components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs.Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the publishing process.Take the lead on analyzing and troubleshooting issues reported by content authors.Collaborate with peer organizations and product teams on technical issues and provide guidance.Assist in designing and implementing automated testing.Work with engineers, tracking and testing enhancements and fixes through the development process, driving closure, and communicating resolution to internal stakeholders.Contribute to technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resource, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and requirements.Work with cross-functional teams in Agile development model across a large portfolio of applications.Define infrastructure and application monitoring to detect and prevent incidents.Minimum QualificationsBS in Computer Science or Information Technology5+ years’ experience with DITA-OT plugin development5+ years’ experience with scripting languages – shell scripting, Python, Bash,5+ years’ experience with Ant, Markdown, XSLTs, DITA, DTDs, JSON and Linux3+ years’ experience working with customer-facing web teams3+ years’ experience Java, JavaScript, CSS, Metalsmith, Node.jsGood understanding of AWS Cloud Computing like EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, VPC, Code build, Code pipeline, etc.Working knowledge of build automation (Jenkins) and CI/CD pipelinesProficient with Git, Content Management System Admin tasks, DITA authoring, editors, editor customizationAction-oriented, self-driven and ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong customer service, communication, and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with CMS like TridionExperience with SEOKeen interest in new technologies and ability to adopt them quickly.#LI-DT1Click below to learn more about our benefits in the US.https://benefits.autodesk.com/ At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $139,100 and $224,950. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
