The Autodesk Construction Solutions group is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to develop world-class commercial cloud products that are used by construction companies to increase efficiency and reduce the high amount of waste produced during construction. If you are a software developer proficient in cloud web services with modern front ends that solve customer needs, and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced team with state-of-the-art technologies, we would love to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesYour main role is to contribute to a high-performing agile team that includes other strong developers and support from dedicated designers and product ownersYou will be working on projects that fill needs in sustainability in constructionYou will work with developers on the immediate team and external teams on best practices for back-end developmentYou will be involved with all aspects of software developmentDeveloping with quality and running the service to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant, and high throughput service for our customersYou can work independently; taking requirements from product management, producing stories and designs, and describing and dividing up the problem so that all team members can efficiently engineer their partsYou can produce multiple designs for a problem and then facilitate reviews to produce a single solutionYou stay on top of new technologies, evaluate which can be useful, and be a proponent and catalyst for bringing them into and improving the development processYou will be part of an agile team of smart and highly motivated engineers building world-class cloud software applications and servicesYou will work in a global team and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support etc.You will work with latest technologies in a flexible environmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor of Science or higher degree in software engineering or equivalent5+ years of software development experience2+ years of experience working with JavaScript, Node or similar web frameworksProficiency with Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure technologiesExpert understanding of typical web application architecture (data, application, web tiers etc.)Experience with REST API development in a Service Oriented Architecture (microservices architecture)Solid understanding of security best practices for a modern cloud serviceAbility to support the production service by periodically being on-callSolid understanding of CI/CD concepts and easily works with a deployment pipelinePreferred QualificationsExperience with TypeScript in a production applicationExperience with the construction industryThe Ideal CandidateYou are proficient in web back-end development You can design, implement and use APIs are resilient and scalableYou want to be empoweredYou want to have the power and space to make decisions that create these services that never go down and serve our many customersYou get work done together. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
