We have a strong team of experts on Migrations, Application Modernization, Multicloud, Networking, End User Computing, Telco, and Security. In this opportunity, you will play the role of an advanced-level technology specialist and subject matter expert in Multicloud. providing customer guidance by facilitating technical workshops, creation of low-level designs and implementation of use cases into high-quality solutions. In addition to customer facing responsibilities, you would also provide technical input to other business units, pre-sales and drive best practices in the form of white paper creation.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Work as part of a wider project team or independently act as technical lead on VMware Virtual Infrastructure Deployment, Management & Administration projects for different VMWare products such as vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vCloud Foundation, vCenter Operations Manager, SRM - vSphere/vCenterYou should be able to identify process gaps and work with the team to address them.Take ownership and accountability for individual deliverables.Proactively define project requirements/issues/constraints/risks and address them with PMsYou should be able to effectively collaborate within different product workstreams within the team and with Business units, identify current gaps and find a way to bridge them.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Drive customer-facing and internal project calls along with project managers and provide technical guidanceManage customer and internal escalations and collaborate with support and engineering teams as neededDesigning, planning, and executing different VMWare products such as vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vCloud Foundation, vCenter Operations Manager, SRM - vSphere/vCenterUnderstanding various 3rd party integrations with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and highlighting any interoperability issuesWork with the product engineering team and resolve issues faced by deploymentsCollaborate with cross-functional VMware project teams which could consist of VMware pre-sales architects, engineers, product management, consulting, and support staffConfidently gather use case requirements and creation of low-level designs while functioning as an advisory resource for “Best Practices” and driving the adoption of VMware solutionsDevelop use cases into high-quality solutions in your specialist area.Actively demonstrate commercial awareness and stay within the scope of the contracted workTake ownership and accountability for individual deliverablesDefine project requirements/issues/constraints with PMsMake accurate impact assessments, and raise, implement, close down and roll-back plans when requiredAssist in the development of our service offerings, best practices, and white papersMust enjoy working with leading-edge technology and being an intrinsic part of a fantastic teamMaintain current, high-level technical knowledge of the entire VMware product portfolio and future product direction and expert-level knowledge of the multi-cloud franchise product lines, which include VMware Cloud Foundation, vRealize suite of products and vSphereWhat is the leadership like for this role?
