As an Associate Project Manager II, you will build your experience in technical project management and customer-facing positions to plan, coordinate, track and manage the project(s) to successful completion. You will be supported by a senior member throughout your probation period.Leading and coordinating between various stakeholders – Customer, Technical Consultants and Sales.You will work directly with resource managers, technical staff and business subject matter experts to orchestrate project delivery to ensure projects are delivered and executed in alignment with the overall project plan, driving customer outcomes, and customer satisfaction. This will give you the chance to shine and demonstrate your leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as your business acumen.Within 90 days of employment, you will successfully develop and maintain project plans including charter, scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resource plans, budget, task dependencies, schedule, open issues, risk assessment, management and mitigation plans across multiple work streams.Within 120 days of employment, you will develop change management skills as you work to quickly define and manage overall project risks and take corrective action in a proactive manner to mitigate risks and prevent issues.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Our Associate Project Managers can expect the following work assignments:Manage the execution of the project plan and the detailed Statement of Work (SOW) developed for the customer.Manage the goals and scope of a project to ensure VMware’s commitments to the customer are achieved.Prepare and maintain clear and concise activity/progress/time recording reports in accordance with VMware’s standards and submits to customers, management, and Sales.Manage the implementation and daily activities, which are coordinated with VMware and/or partner resources.Communicate project budget and resource allocation to sales, customers, and delivery personnel.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and account team.Communicate to all stakeholders and concerned parties any existing or potential customer escalation issues.Create and manage the VMware Project Change process as needed.Stay informed of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, continued professional development, VMware required quarterly training, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.Articulate and evangelize the value of the VMware Solutions and Services business benefit to the customer.Provide a single point of contact during the project lifecycle for all aspects of the project.Maintain financial management and the processes for following and executing of revenue recognition rules and policies.Manage and validate weekly revenue forecast.Identifies and / or recognizes opportunities for additional business with a customer for VMware solutions and / or services.What is the leadership like for this role?
