CA Pay Range (Hourly):$37.36 - $69.38At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Our industry-leading, trendsetting edge-to-core solutions provide the foundation for many of the world’s largest and most demanding networks that generate billions in service revenue for our customers.Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:Maintain/sustain manufacturing equipment, Improve equipment availability/reliability. Prepare and schedule preventive maintenance work and parts replacement to meet manufacturing requirements and customer needs. Work closely with manufacturing personnel in adjustments to be made in matter relating to equipment repair/PM/upgrade/install, procedures and safety guidelines/assist and train others in standardizing troubleshooting techniques. Involved with equipment purchases/installs from the beginning phases, work closely with equipment vendors and consultants on tool installs, baseline, writing PM procedures and provide training to maintenance technicians. Daily hands-on involvement with tools in the following areas: wet etch, dry etch, photo and metrology. Troubleshooting Guides for equipment repair and LOTO updating prior to release as needed. Strong Applied Materials P5000 KnowledgeResponsibilities include tool installs partnership with facilities/vendors, preventive maintenance, and repair of wafer fabrication equipment, including plasma etchers, metal deposition tools, wet processing tools, photoresist coater & developer tracks, and metrology.Receives and verifies equipment condition and items ordered with field service rep. Change counts of items received and shipped if actual is different than invoice or shipper. Reconcile differences with appropriate vendors/department/customers.Create troubleshooting guides specifically for repeated root cause diseases.Routine review all equipment check-sheets to assure accuracy to meet ISO TL9K & 14001 audit requirements.Responsible for sustaining and improving tool uptime in a 24x7 manufacturing/development facility. Occasionally required to work on off-shifts and on weekends for tool installs, sustaining, troubleshooting and training.Help to establish min/max parts estimates and adjusts inventory requirements based on manufacturing demand.Implements desirable modifications in procedures, methods and processes within the area or responsibility. Estimates requirements and take action accordingly.Identify significant contributors to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum RF or hydraulic system stability and provide solutions which to improve the overall equipment performance.Publishes weekly progress reports.Performs job functions at high level with practically no supervision.Expected to create written operational procedures and mentor/train operators and maintenance technicians.Work closely with other maintenance technicians, equipment/process engineers on helping to improve tool uptime/reliability and reduction of overall extended (>24h) unplanned tool downs.Hands-on operation and maintenance of process tools and follow wafer fab protocol procedures.Hands-on operation and maintenance of process tools, ability to reduce/review raw data into logical conclusions and follow wafer fab protocol procedures.Performs other duties as required.Help train less experience maintenance technicians.Familiarity with safety procedures and working with hazardous materials is required (LOTO, high voltage, acids, solvents, PPE, MSDS, etc. History of overnight coverage preferred.Must help on Pouring/mixing/refilling chemicals to help production as needed.Publish Daily Power Point Equipment Updates during the daily manufacturing meetings.SPECIAL CHALLENGES :Must be able to lift 50lbs.Must be able to wear a respirator.Justifying upgrades inside areas/chambers that come in contact with the wafer.Must be flexible in helping to sustain the Fab on preventive maintenance work, chemical pouring, following all safety guidelines.Must be an ERT Member.Removal of hazardous material as needed.Work on holidays to help manufacturing as needed.History of overnight coverage preferred.Desired skills include understanding of statistical process control, Microsoft Office, and the ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, etc.Strong Applied Materials P5000 Knowledge.Education & Experience Necessary For Success:Education: Minimum AA/Devry Degree or equivalent working experience. BS degree a plus.Experience: 7 Years in manufacturing environment and hands on experience as an equipment engineer. Tool installation experience is required in areas of responsibility.
