We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.Q2 is seeking an ambitious and adaptable Frontend / UI software engineer experienced with development in a fast-paced team setting.  As a member of our UUX Release Support team, you will enable our customers’ adoption and implementation of Q2’s UUX digital banking application for both web and mobile platforms. Our application is highly customizable to meet the needs of financial institutions and their users, providing built-in capabilities as well as integration of other Q2 products and solutions, and also 3rd-party and custom-developed services.    Strong candidates will have a self-motivated tinkering spirit, a deep curiosity of frontend web applications and their interaction with backend systems, seeks to understand the needs of our customers, and crafts creative solutions.At Q2 we understand, respect, and appreciate different people, ideas, and culture.  We approach every challenge and new idea with a spirit of endless possibility.  We work hard but believe in keeping Q2 fun, relaxed, casual, and highly creative.  Come join us in our mission to build stronger and more diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Investigate and resolve technical issues in frontend applications reported by our frontline support staff and delivery teams, on behalf of our financial institutionsGather a complete understanding of the customer’s scenario and their environmentDebug code, and design, implement, integrate, and test solutions in frontend applicationsCollaborate across development, test, product, design and support teams to ensure solutions are fit-for-purposeAnalyze incidents to understand root cause, and contribute to tooling, tests, and documentation to facilitate investigation and prevention of future issues Actively participate in agile ceremonies including grooming, planning, standups, demos, and retrospectivesEnsure compliance with all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of related frontend application development experience; or an advanced degree and 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience with frontend application development.Frontend web application development experience, with emphasis on building and deploying single page, responsive JavaScript applicationsKnowledge of HTML, CSS and HTTP web technologiesExperience with an advanced JavaScript framework such as React, Ember, Vue or AngularKnowledge of Javascript build and packaging tools for web applications, such as grunt, gulp, broccoli, webpack, yarn and npmExperience using Git workflows for collaboratively developing source codeStrong code hygiene and automated unit testing experience with tools such as mocha and jestExperience integrating with backend systems and understanding data flow Experience in REST API development is preferredExperience in mobile application development is preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an organized mannerEffective communication skillsInterpersonal and collaboration skillsAvailability for occasional on-call support Ability to work flexible hours when necessary to meet schedules and deadlinesHealth & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
