We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.Job DescriptionQ2 is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to drive QA test and validation for our Release Support Team.  At Q2 we develop and deliver online banking solutions based on web, Android and iOS platforms, enabling financial institutions and their customers to securely communicate and transact anytime and anywhere.  Our Release Support team investigates and resolves customer-reported problems, requiring prompt and thorough investigation, and testing of fixes and updates.  We help Q2’s support and delivery teams, and our financial institutions, be successful.  Strong candidates will be passionate about software quality, and highly motivated to achieve excellence.At Q2 we understand, respect, and appreciates different people, ideas, and culture.  We approach every challenge and new idea with a spirit of endless possibility.  We work hard but believe in keeping Q2 fun, relaxed, casual, and highly creative.  Come join us in our mission to build stronger and more diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and maintain comprehensive test plans based on use cases and customer requirementsExecute and coordinate both manual and automated tests, and report and analyze test resultsIdentify and document test failures and product bugs, providing thorough details and diagnostic information for proper triageManage, execute, and maintain automation test scriptsHelp author, review and critique Python tests and other test scriptsReproduce defects reported by our customer support and implementations teamsParticipate in investigation of customer-reported problems, and validation of fixesPerform cross-platform testing on multiple browsers, and mobile platformsWork closely with developers, product owners, and other testers to deliver quality solutions to our customersIdentify gaps in tests and document new or updated test casesPassionately drive software quality and advocate for improvementsAccurately track and report time against multiple projectsUse your expertise and knowledge to help drive QA best practices and process improvementsEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience in a software Quality Assurance or Developer in Test role.Strong experience with test automation, test plans, and test methodologyExperience testing web-based software solutions, both UI / frontend and backend servicesExperience testing on Android and iOS mobile platformsStrong test case management skills, iteratively creating, executing, reporting, and revisingExperience with debugging web application problems, through code review and log dataExperience with PythonExperience with test automation tools, such as Selenium with Python and Javascript, is preferredExperience with version control systems such as Git, Gitlab or BitbucketExperience with defect tracking systems.  Experience with Jira is preferred.Experience with test case management systems.  Experience with qTest is preferred.Experience using web services and RESTful APIs when performing testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teaming skillsKnowledge of Accessibility compliance for web applications is preferredExperience with SQL and Javascript are preferredAbility to work flexible hours when necessary to meet project and customer deadlinesHealth & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
