You will report to the Director, Global Credit & Collections and be responsible for collections, cash application and credit risk across all countries outside the US and APAC.  WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Take full responsibility for all non-US and APAC credit and collection processes ensuring that tasks are completed to schedule and accurately.Work closely with the US and APAC Credit & Collections team to ensure group credit policies and procedures are followed.Manage the UK based Credit & Collections team including the collections manager and credit and cash supervisor (currently 6 FTE based in London), setting monthly and quarterly team targets as well as performing regular 1-2-1 meetings and annual appraisals.Act as a role model and mentor for the Credit and Collections Managers based in London and Shanghai.Managing performance of the team and taking corrective action where needed.Continually review the effectiveness of existing collections strategies and identify new and improved processes and procedures.Provide Bad Debt forecasting to the US revenue team assessing the collectability of at-risk accounts.Produce daily cash reports and weekly cash collection forecasts across nine currencies.Liaise with relevant stakeholders across the business driving and escalating dispute resolution when necessary.Work closely with the Financial Reporting & Compliance Senior Manager to ensure the team is delivering on audit requests for both the UK & US entities.Designing and driving the RFP process with new vendors.Lead the global implementation of our new credit and collections software GetPaid.Responsibility for the growth of the team, leading recruitment, whilst maintaining the high standards TTD expects.Coordinate month end activities ensuring an on-time period close.Manage the relationship with third party vendors such as software suppliers, credit reference agencies, debt collection agencies, lawyers, recruitment agencies, and HMRC.Participation in other ad-hoc accounting projects as required.Dealing with all SOX related requests and all AR related audit tasks in a timely manner.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) qualified with at least 10 years’ experience in credit and collections, preferably working in the AdTech and Media industry.Commercially astute with the ability to make sound financial and technical decisions.Must have experience managing and developing a team, including managing remote resources.People management experience including, coaching, mentoring, and running the annual appraisal process.Experience with ERP/general ledger systems is essential, preferably Oracle, and collections software such as FIS GetPaid is advantageous.Credit Risk Analysis experience within an international multimillion dollar businessExperience with D&B, Experian, or similar credit report providers.The ability to carry out ratio analysis and analysis of financial statements and management accounts, with a view to making sound commercial credit decisions in line with company policy.Demonstrate experience managing multi-currencies and cross-currency payments.Must have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to liaise across time zones.You will need to be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Credit & Collections processes KPI’s and metrics.Self-motivated and driven, strives to deliver quality results and drive continuous improvement, gets things done.Must be available periodically during early and late business hours to accommodate global time zones.Experience dealing with international withholding tax.Ability to work under pressure whilst still maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and effective controls.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.Presentation skills including the use of PowerPoint.Ability to communicate with C level senior management and stakeholders.Strong working knowledge of Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables).Project Management experience preferably with a project management qualification such as PRINCE2International travel will be required.WHAT WE OFFER:When you join The Trade Desk, you’re joining a family with a great culture.Competitive compensation packages and full benefitsHealth, Life and Medical Insurance and pension planMobile AllowanceAnniversary ProgramsCatered lunches and offsite team building activities.Stock options and additional discounted stock purchase opportunities#LI-PR1The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters.
