About the roleThe Platform Product Manager sits at the nexus of Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, SRE, and Architecture and maintains ownership of the tier-zero components at the core of Genesys’ multi-tenant cloud platform. As the Platform Product Manager, you will drive customer-centric, strategic, and highly creative solutions across multiple disciplines:Event-driven architecture. You will own the event streaming and messaging services that Genesys Cloud and its thousands of consuming applications use to ingest raw data, stream analytics, react to critical ecosystem changes, and orchestrate rules-based workflows.Public API extensibility. Nearly 70% of our global customer base use our platform APIs to extend and orchestrate their customers’ journeys - to the tune of over 60 billion API calls per month. You will own our API roadmap - optimizing developer experience, contributing to API monetization, and working with customers, partners, engineering teams, and solutions teams to leverage and maximize the value of our public APIs.Security & Stability. You will partner with our Service Reliability and DevOps teams to ensure that our platform is secure, resilient, and always on. About youYou have a proven track record of successfully working in a fast-paced environment. You have a well-rounded product management background, experience leading large technical projects, and have a strong technical background in current SaaS technologies. You have a rock-solid understanding of agile methodologies, API technologies, DevOps, SaaS, and cloud architecture.Adept at Execution: you are a doer. Creating low-fidelity wireframes, loose architectural diagrams, and solid user stories are easy tasks for you and you use them to convey your ideas and align teams.People Artist: you use your social currency to influence outcomes and drive results. You listen as much as you speak; you ask questions as often as you answer them; you learn as well as you teach.Scrupulously Detail Oriented: you thrive building something from nothing and understand the attention to detail necessary to ship product. You write stories in the way a user would use the product - and in a format that engineers can implement.Delivery Driven: you are laser focused on achieving product goals according to demanding timelines. You’ve released products to market before and know the steps involved in the software release management lifecycle.
