Your potential is waiting; why are you?Summary:The Corporate Development team advances Genesys' strategy through inorganic initiatives. The team has completed 20 acquisitions and 4 investments since becoming an independent company in 2012. The Corporate Development Senior Manager will partner with the Head of Corporate Development to advise executives on M&A, drive the cadence of the team, and be a resource to junior team members. The role will focus on driving buy-side M&A (from defining M&A strategy to deal execution), though will contribute to other Corporate Development projects including supporting integration success, minority investments, sell-side projects, and other special projects.Key Responsibilities:Strategy: Help drive the team's cadence to define M&A strategy; stay on top of market trends; deep dive into segments to assess investment meritsSourcing: Scout for appropriate candidates given a general investment thesis; cultivate network to drive future inbound opportunitiesEvaluation: Lead qualitative/quantitative analysis & create a business case to support an LOI decisionDeal Execution: Orchestrate diligence process; assist in delivering findings to Executive Management; support negotiationsIntegration: Lead knowledge transfer to integration team; support integration team in solving roadblocks to drive realization of deal rationaleQualifications / Skills Desired and Preferred:6+ years relevant experienceSignificant M&A deal experience, including deal leadership experience in elements of a transactionExperience in the software industry, with direct exposure to the “customer experience” market a plusCompleted an analyst program at an investment bank, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services firmAdvanced Excel & financial modeling skillsAdvanced PowerPoint & presentation building skillsDeep understanding of accounting concepts related to P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowSuperior attention to detail and qualityExpertise and interest to be a teacher/resource to junior team membersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlinesStrong oral and written communication skills, including ability to confidently interact and advise at senior executive levels#LI-Hybrid#LI-DJ1Compensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
