SummaryAs a Senior Staff User Experience (UX) Designer, you’ll drive the user experience across a defined area of the Workiva platform. Your leadership will be instrumental in addressing challenging tasks that aim to delight our customers. Furthermore, you will have the ability to develop visionary concepts that inspire possibilities and drive actionable next steps.What You'll DoHelp define our experience vision and strategies across the defined area of responsibility and effectively evangelize to stakeholders Tackle new and existing efforts to design scalable, cohesive, and elegant solutions for complex system-wide initiativesBuild strong partnerships to collaboratively define high quality solutions that balance customer and business needs Facilitate empathy building activities, ideation, and design critiqueLook past obvious solutions to solve deeper problems Coach and mentor other designers to improve the quality of work Proactively identify and contribute ideas as a catalyst for driving positive changeWhat You'll NeedSkills Expert level user-centered design skills and systems thinking Masterful facilitator and influencer with the ability to explain design decisions Expert with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, XD, Sketch, Axure, etc. Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills Technical acumen to drive the right conversations across R&D Experience 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years of experience Led user experience vision and strategy for large complex applications Passion for making high-quality, user-centered products and a demonstrable portfolio to prove it Experience directing and mentoring other designers Education B.A./B.S. degree in art, graphic design, HCI, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Travel Requirement Up to 10% to meet with geographically dispersed team members depending on proximity to Workiva officesHow You’ll Be Rewarded:Salary range in the US: $142,000.00 - $241,000.00A discretionary bonus typically paid annuallyRestricted Stock Units granted at time of hire401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
