We are seeking a highly motivated professional with strong initiative, good communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP to join our team in the role of Revenue Accounting Contract Manager supporting the growing Finance organization at NVIDIA.  This position is great for an accounting professional who is detail oriented and can effectively collaborate within the organization and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. As a Revenue Accounting Contract Manager, you will provide strategic direction in deal structuring for new and existing business models to drive growth and operational excellence.  You will also be instrumental in transforming a Deals Desk to enable scale and deal velocity in collaboration with Sales, Legal, Engineering, Finance and Operations.What you’ll be doing:Foster strong partnerships across various business teams including Sales, Legal, Engineering, Finance and Operations to understand sales arrangements and provide revenue recognition expertise and guidance.Edit, review and approve revenue contracts and provide feedback for software, SaaS, hardware, rebate, marketing development fund, engineering development, support services, letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, ecommerce and royalty arrangements.Identify areas in a contract where there are revenue recognition implications, assess impact and escalate to management as needed. Research complex accounting topics to develop a fact-based conclusion in accordance with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers (“ASC 606”)Respond to technical revenue accounting inquiries from business partners; simply and precisely explain revenue accounting matters and concepts to all levels within the Company and provide options and recommendations.Document accounting conclusions for executed revenue contracts in accordance with ASC 606.Collaborate with Revenue, Cost, GL, FP&A, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting teams to ensure revenue recognition and accounting are timely and accurately reported. Improve the efficiency of the contract review process by working with business partners to standardize and streamline terms and conditions for each of the various types of agreements.What we need to see:Bachelor’s degree from a leading university in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience).CPA or equivalent qualification.7+ years of public accounting and/or related industry revenue accounting experience.3+ years of revenue contract review and management experienceFamiliarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environment.Detailed accounting knowledge of ASC 606 including software, SaaS, hardware, rebate and multiple element arrangements.Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.Ways to stand out from the crowd: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the Company.
