Our Data & AI team is seeking an experienced ML Ops Engineer to join us in building and maintaining our cutting-edge machine learning platform on Databricks.As a Principal ML Ops Engineer on our Data & AI team, you will play a crucial role in helping build and maintain our machine learning platform on Databricks. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design and implement scalable machine learning solutions that solve complex business problems in banking. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our machine learning infrastructure on Databricks, assisting in the development and implementation of machine learning models, and refining data pipelines and feature engineering processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define and build the overall data architecture and lead initiatives to improve the overall performance and scalability of our machine learning platform." Responsibilities:• Responsible for influencing and implementation of MLOps framework and pipelines including integration, testing, releasing, deployment, infrastructure management and governance of machine learning models.• Evangelizes internally and externally to help elevate MLOps practices, establishing oneself as a go-to resource on given technologies and technology-enabled capabilities.• Integrate the MLOps framework into the larger DevOps strategy of the enterprise, bridging the gap between traditional CI/CD and modern ML.• Manage and lead comprehensive end-to-end infrastructure builds as part of a project team, including implementing cloud data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools.• Design and develop reusable components and operational strategies in Databricks and AWS Cloud to support scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, and observability.• Lead projects and be a data domain owner while also being involved in building out AI Platform team roadmaps.• Coach and mentor other engineers across the Data & AI organization, serving as a role model and multiplier.• Write, review, and provide feedback on technical design proposals.• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in MLOps to provide thought leadership and strategic guidance in the implementation and optimization of machine learning operations at nCino.Requirements:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.• 6+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or related roles.• 5+ years working with relational databases and query languages.• 5+ years building data pipelines in production and ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.• Strong experience with MLOps frameworks and pipelines, including integration, testing, releasing, deployment, infrastructure management, and governance of machine learning models.• Strong experience in building and maintaining machine learning infrastructure on Databricks.• Strong experience with continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous training (CT) pipelines management.• Strong experience with model development and deployment including training, validation, and monitoring.• Strong experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn).• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala.• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.• Experience with data processing and storage technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and SQL databases.• Expertise in software engineering concepts and best practices and/or DevOps.• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Desired:• Advanced certification in Databricks.• Advanced certification in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).• Familiar with Restful APIs.• Knowledge of the banking industry. If you thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment, we invite you to share your passion, ideas and excitement at nCino. nCino provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability, genetics or other protected groups.
