As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding results and ensuring engineering excellence in this critical domain.Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of software engineers responsible for the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of our Storage Suite products on the mainframe platform.- Apply the Continuous Delivery Software Development Model to drive engineering excellence and ensure efficient delivery of high-quality software.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, architecture, user experience, tech writing, and support, to align on product direction, best practices, and customer requirements.- Serve as a product leader, working closely with the Product Owner (PO) to evangelize the product, define its future direction, and contribute to strategic planning.- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the engineering team, providing mentorship and coaching to help team members strengthen their skills and grow professionally.- Ensure the adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, while making informed decisions on administrative and operational matters.- Collaborate with other leaders within the organization to establish strategic plans, objectives, and cross-functional initiatives.Qualifications:- Minimum of 8 years of overall experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.- Strong expertise in mainframe platforms, preferably with experience in developing and maintaining storage-related software products.- Proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing software engineering teams and delivering complex software projects within budget and schedule constraints.- Deep understanding of the Continuous Delivery Software Development Model and its application to drive engineering excellence and product code quality.- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.- Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Location:This position is based in our Plano, TX office. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
