The EMEA Director, Solution Consulting is responsible for inspiring, motivating and leading the regional Solution Consulting members across the region. This team is instrumental to Clarivate success with customers and prospects. They work closely with the Sales Account Managers, Product Sales Manager, marketing team, Professional Services and the corporate product management to develop account and solution strategies in order to grow our business and continually improve customer engagement.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments BS or technical BA degree. MBA is a plus.Recognized strengths in people management - effective team builder with strong leadership qualities. Ability to coach, motivate and supervise team members, while cooperating with other functions in the organization.Experience in product management positions and / or leading pre-sale and/or solution sales teams in international software/technology companies.Fast learner, resourceful, self-starter, pro-active, creative, thinks out of the box.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, representative.Strong customer focus, results and business driven.Experience and knowledge of the higher education and/or library industry – an advantage Excellent command of English spoken & written – must. Other European languages – an advantage What will you be doing in this role? Lead a team of solution experts to support the sales process with a coordinated approach to pre-sales activities including discovery and qualification, customized demoing, design and hand over to services across the Ex Libris Library Products (including PQWS) as well as campusM, Pivot-RP and Esploro. This includes: 1. Full ownership of pre-sale cycle - engage with Clarivate prospects and clients to understand technical and functional requirements needed to deliver business benefit of the of solutions (s)he’s responsible for.2. Be able to position the Clarivate portfolio as a superior set of solutions for the target markets. Explain features and benefits of the Clarivate solutions in comparison to competitive products in the market.3. Deliver product technical and functional presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.4. Communicate with sales, services and product management regarding customer needs, priorities and regional trends.5. Lead Proof of Concept engagements, working with the client, sales, and functional and technical pre-sales teams. 6. Identifying suitable internal resources, understanding client requirements and ensuring proactive communications with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.Group management – attract, retain and recruit high performing employees. Manage team engagement and motivation. Initiate and implement development programs for the European Solution Consulting team. Drive innovation and pro-activeness in the team. 1. Coach and motivate the team to maximize their potential and achieve individual and team goals.2. Formulate best practices and establish standardized processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's operations.3. Collaborate with the global Solution Consulting leadership team and other regional heads to define and implement a cohesive global agenda and approach for the team.4. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional cooperation.5. Drive innovation and proactiveness within the team by encouraging creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor the group performance and quality of delivery – 1. Occasionally review proposals, configuration and documentation of Ex Libris solutions, ensuring they meet customer and sales objectives.2. Develop best practices and ensure high quality of demos and presentations made by the Solution Consulting members.3. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and career advancement within the team.
