We are looking for an Associate Product Operations Manager to join our Journal Citation ReportsTM (JCR) production team. Customers use the JCR in a variety of ways:Publishers gauge use of their own and competitors’ journals among the scholarly community through quantifiable citation dataResearchers can view the top performing journals in their discipline and factor this into decisions about where to publish their own researchLibrarians use it as a tool in journal collections developmentAbout You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor's degree required; science or library/information science background preferred2 + years of experience in academic publishing, government, library/information science industry, or equivalent2 + years of experience working with large datasets in spreadsheets, using tools such as MS Excel data and statistical functions2 + years of experience in a production-oriented role, having balanced competing priorities, worked independently, and successfully met deadlinesIt would be great if you also had . . . Participating in all aspects of the annual JCR pre- and post-production tasks; contributing to JCR production edit and internal data QACurating Journal Impact Factor data through routine production cycle QC checksResearching multiple sources of publication information and citation data to develop journal-specific algorithms for citation aggregation, as new journals are onboarded for coverage in Clarivate citation index productsResearching and resolving issues related to journal title presentation in cited references and Clarivate cited reference indexing (both in day-to-day workflow and on demand from internal customers)Investigating and responding to questions from primary publishers, researchers, and other product users on various aspects of the JCR data and product interface.Developing and maintaining clear channels of communication with Clarivate Journal Selection, Editorial Relations, Data Corrections, Bibliographic Policy, and Publication Curation teamsAssisting in the development of responses for the Technical Support teams and other customer-facing departments that answer routine inquiries pertaining to JCR data and metricsHours of Work Full time, permanentAlthough duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be requiredAbout the Team The JCR Production team works together closely to ensure unique title representation in Clarivate’s internal systems and index products. Our product is well-established, and our internal and external customers come from varied backgrounds. We take our work seriously but maintain a sense of humor to make the work enjoyable. We oversee and curate the annual data production process for the JCR, ensuring data quality and metric accuracy.The team consists of two Product Operations editors and one Data AnalystThe annual production cycle typically runs from early March through the mid-June data release.
