Senior Director, Software Engineering

We are looking for a Senior Director, Software Engineering to join our team in Philadelphia, PA or Alexandria, VA. Your strategic role is to oversee and provide technology guidance and lead the development teams for creation and maintenance of tools and processes to ingest, check, convert, store, select, customize and supply data for various products. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsAt least 10 years of relevant industry experience At least 10 years of experience with common programming languages - Java or Python At least 3 years of experience working with AWS or Azure At least 3 years of experience working as a Director or VP managing medium to large Agile teams.  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degreeIt would be great if you also had . . . Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP)Good, demonstrated experience in any of one the RDBMS (MySQL/SQL Server/Oracle/PostgreSQL) preferably hosted on cloudBe able to implement and guide teams through test-based development processes.Have strong experience in developing applications that deals with large datasetsKnowledge of XML, HTML, XSLT, Unicode, DTDs, XML Schema, XQuery, XPath, PDF, TIFF and similar formatsExperience in developing and managing ETL Development tools & technologies (Talend / Pentaho / Python)Experience building and managing SOAP, REST ServicesDemonstrated entrepreneurial ability to grow a team and/or expand service offeringsWhat will you be doing in this role?
