We are looking for a Customer Education Trainer (CET) to join our Customer Education Team for Academia & Government in Tokyo, Japan.  This is an amazing opportunity to work on Clarivate’s scholarly research and library solutions, including our prominent products like Web of Science and ProQuest.  The team consists of 8 members who reside in different countries across the APAC region, and is reporting to the Manager, Customer Education for APAC.  We have a great skill set in education and instruction design and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in presentation or teaching and experience in the academic publishing, scholarly research, or library sector.     About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Information Science (preferred)At least 3 years’ experience in the library industry or product training area Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English and Japanese Ability to travel to client sites for trainingMotivated team player who can work independently  It would be great if you also had . . .  Knowledge and understanding of library and researcher data/systemsAbility to plan, prioritize and remain organized when working on multiple tasksObvious enthusiasm and the ability to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changeAbility to build strong relationships internally and externally with core stakeholdersStrong analytical skills and ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving Exceptional patience and tact (i.e., strong service orientation) Commitment in sharing knowledge readily and recognizing own need to learn  What will you be doing in this role? Deliver high quality training that drives product usage and customer engagement utilizing approved instructional design/delivery principles and assetsConduct customer needs analyses, create customized training plans and identify the best delivery approach to meet customer requirementsWork closely with Customer Success and Account Management teams to prioritize customer activities and to identify additional product and service needs Maintain a high degree of expertise of Clarivate productsResearch and implement training and presentation techniques to maximize training effectivenessMonitor and adapt training content to reflect industry trends and product developmentsSupport the development of customer education materials and assetsSchedule and deliver public training webinarsParticipate in product meetings and discussions, working closely with Product Management to communicate customer feedback and influence product development  About the Team   Our Customer Education Team for APAC provides our customers with training service and learning materials for our education and research solutions, including our prominent products in the industry, like Web of Science and ProQuest.  We are a global team of 8 members based in 6 different countries in the APAC region.  The members are all dedicated, highly-skilled instructors who wish to make a positive impact for our customers in the Academia & Government sector.     Hours of Work  This is a full-time, permanent position based in Tokyo, Japan.  The working hours is 35 per week, from Monday to Friday between 9:30 and 17:30 JST with occasional global team meetings in the evenings.At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
