Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager

We are looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to join our team in the United States. The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager will plan, direct and control the SOC functions and operations. You will ensure the monitoring and analysis of events to protect People, Technology and Process addressing all security incidents and ensuring timely escalation. Your direct team will consist of 3 cybersecurity analysts. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsAt least 5+ years of experience in the security spaceAt least 3 years of experience managing a SOC environment, preferably in a cloud-based product development organizationProven ability to manage team members in disparate time zones and working hoursBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field. Experience and proven track record may replace education requirements. It would be great if you also had . . . Masters degree in computer science or equivalent field Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies in application, infrastructure, network, cloud, and endpoint security CISSP or SANS GIAC certificationWhat will you be doing in this role? Establish SOC performance goals and priorities.Manage SOC tools and resources.Lead incident response efforts.Ensure that the Security Operations team has the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively detect, analyze and respond to security incidents.Provide regular training sessions and mentorship opportunities to facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team.Stay up to date on current and emerging security threats and design security capabilities to mitigate threats where possible.Participate in internal Red/Blue Team activities.Discover and eliminate redundancies in the incident response process.Create new and update existing runbooks.Define requirements, based on the overall information security strategy, and implement capabilities to comply with established standards to help mitigate security risksDesign, implement and test information security controls in enterprise, cloud, and product environments.Hours of WorkFull time, permanent Hybrid working model Must reside within a commutable distance to one of our office locations (Kansas City, Philadelphia, Alexandria, Ann Arbor, Chandler, Denver) #CBClarivate is an Equal Opportunity Employer Vets/Minorities/Women/Disabled
