To highlight and report all opportunities to improve efficiency in site operations and asset condition. To actively support the development of the local engineering team in line with recognized professional institutes and instil the Magic of EquinixSite Capacity ManagementOverall site capacity supervisionProject/Infrastructure ManagementTo assist the Engineering Manager with the daily supervision of contractors engaged in project worksTo attend project meetings, giving technical mentorship and sharing information with the wider teamTo ensure customer notifications are raised and issued in good timeVendor ManagementOversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standardsTo audit contractors work and RAMS to ensure their complianceTestingAssists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problemsIncident ManagementCommunicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incidentProvide ongoing technical support and training to the engineering teamRequirementsONC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical EngineeringPrevious data centre experienceGood customer skills17th Edition test and inspection trainingAmbitious and flexibleHV Switching experienceAppropriate job related experienceClean UK Driving License QualificationsProven years of related experience or equivalent work experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceData show that many applicants apply for a job when they have 100% of what is required.
