We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryThe Senior Director, xScale Product reports to the SVP xScale, and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the xScale product; product design, strategic customer engagement, competitor analysis, review cross-functional stakeholder process checkpoints, and assessment of strategic intent to Equinix and our investors.ResponsibilitiesLeads the product management function of xScale including planning, initiative development, and deploymentCollaborates with Global Engineering Development team in ideation/research for MKx in direct response to customer future requirementsEvaluates new technologies & opportunities with T2M, sustainability, efficiency, flexibility & operability at the foreEvaluate overall construct-ability along with design to cost and program benefitsSpeed to market study owner and responsible for all aspects of the Tender Collation of tender for MKx and on-going support for D&C in the GC role out of product understandingDefine the xScale product requirement standard and customer specific (Customer SKUs). Develop SKU pack template outputs for each customer type to align with commercial/pricing BOQ’s eg NRC’s, MRC’s, SAP, etcCoordinate dissemination of xScale technical requirements by interfacing with Equinix Design/Engineering team Development teamsTrack investment impacting KPI’s (time and money) to drive an on-time and on-budget approachLead the liaison and coordination of the Equinix teams, in supporting technical due diligence requirements from Investors, lenders and appraisersEnsures a tight, two-way relationship between Product and cross-functional stakeholders.Drives the strategy and direction to scale and improve our product offeringBuilds and maintains healthy relationships at all levels of the organization - evangelizing the team, aligning on common goals, and creating a shared visionEvangelizes the product portfolio by engaging regularly with internal teams and customers to drive deeper understanding of our products and offerings and differentiation in the marketSeen as a thought leader, engaging with customers and internal teams to explain the product strategyWorks within cross function teams for setting strategies for optimal utilization of resources across the programIdentifies potential budget shortfalls and partner with Finance and/or other leadership to manage proactivelyManages and/or escalates issues, as neededPresents to product proposals to senior leadership for final approvalBuild partnerships with the many stakeholders who support xScale within EquinixManage the Product teams’ performance by motivating and providing coachingDrive the people development strategy including location-based initiativesProvide leadership and guidance for escalations to other xScale and business stakeholdersChallenge existing xScale managed processes based on industry best practice and trends to ensure Equinix, JV partners and customers are maintaining a best-in-class approachModel the Equinix cultures and valuesQualificationsIs a transformational leader who excels at driving bold and meaningful change at scale and across multiple dimensionsLeads with a global mindset, across cultures, in a highly matrixed, relationship and consensus-driven environmentCultivates Innovation – Creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
