You operate as a strategic leader understanding the business strategy and bridging the gap between security and business interests.Most importantly, you partner with the International Business Exchange (IBX) or data center team to reach their goals quickly and securely. Together with your fellow BISOs and security authorities, you innovate and improve the security posture of Equinix across 250+ data center. You drive initiatives and projects to prioritize business and security risk reduction activities. You are pragmatic and practical in your understanding of Operational Technology and IT operations, and familiar with corporate cybersecurity objectives. If you are passionate about information security and risk management, driven to create a culture that enables us to innovate with speed while keeping our customers secure, and dedicated to building relationships to enable problem solving, we can’t wait for your to join our team!As our new BISO, your main objective is to make security proactive and a strategic part of how the DCS data center team delivers innovative solutions to our customers.ResponsibilitiesPartner with data center leadership to advise, drive decision-making on security to enable the business while mitigating cybersecurity riskUnderstand the goals, products and objectives of the data center teams to lead and define a roadmap of security initiativesDevelop the strategy to embed security in the business through influencing and driving prioritization of initiatives with executive leadersInnovate and communicate how to most efficiently adopt security practices both with the product engineering, site operations and the security team so the organization as a whole benefitsUnderstand the risks of the DCS data center groups through the risk register and share that understanding throughout the business to drive a positive security culture. Develop relationships with key building management and physical security partners and work closely with the data center teams to identify, prioritize and reduce risksServe as a cybersecurity domain authority and provide skilled advice and recommendations regarding risk reduction, mediation and transfer. Contribute and collaborate in the creation of product, process and services roadmap to ensure that an improved security posture happens and that risks are materially reducedCommunicate business needs with the InfoSec team to inform development of strategy, capabilities and solutions that address unique business challenges. Collaborate with other BISOs and the CISO to build a culture across the enterprise that allows us to deliver innovative solutions while reinforcing the trust our customers transfer to usDrive the adoption and improvement of InfoSec policies, measure trust platform control and capability adoption, effectiveness and maturity across the data center groups, and support security architecture responsibilities for designing, building, testing and implementing security systems within the DCS data cen groupPartner with engineering and operations team to right size security systems and optimally measure Service Level Management for security and assurance activities moving towards measuring business riskDefine and implement the Information Security Policies and Standards across the DCS data center processes and effectively communicate the impact of operations, compliance, and cybersecurity gaps to multiple audiencesIn case of incidents, lead, prioritize and coordinate the response and lead a programmatic approach to long term risk mitigation and solution sustainabilityQualificationsAn outstanding ability to empathize and understand a business unit’s goals and challengesAbility to negotiate and influence senior leaders to drive desired outcomes without direct authorityExperience developing strategic roadmaps and leading projectsPowerful written and verbal communication skills for executive interactionsValidated data analysis and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer and partner service and supportTeam-oriented and can interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including upper management and technology leadersMaintain calmness and transparency of thought under pressure and can maintain confidentialityDeep understanding of cybersecurity threats, tools and techniquesDeep technical knowledge of security and privacy standards, frameworks and architecture10+ years engineering experience of various Operational Technology (OT) systems including Access Control, CCTV Cameras, BMS systems and electrical systems with an understanding of these systems’ protocols, networking, installation and operations on an enterprise scaleKnowledge of OT Risk Management, recommended practices, and architecturesAbility to threat model solutions on both high- and technical- level10+ years of information security industry experienceExperience with a technical services business modelExperience with Threat Vulnerability of OT systems and how to address and remediate those with controls and tasksExperience with security compliance standards including ISO 27000 series, NIST-CSF, NIST 800-82/53, SOC 1 and 2 Type IIExperience engineering, installing and operationalizing an OT TVM/EDR system for ICS systemsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, preferredThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $159,000 to $271,000Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
