Mentors junior team members and makes strong tactical decisions to resolve project issues. Manages Construction project costs, methods, and project team selection. ResponsibilitiesManagementProvides management and leadership across a team to ensure the team's growth is in alignment with Operations' goals and strategySets goals for immediate team membersProject ManagementLeads and manages medium, sometimes regional construction programsProvides guidance and project leadership including ground up construction, remodels, renovations, etc., ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations Vendor RelationsDirects up to 20 external vendors per project comprising General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etcSupports maintenance of high value relationshipsTraining ProgramsContributes to identifying and developing training programsEngages in cross-functional trainingContract AdministrationConducts appropriate contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentationLeadershipMentors junior team members as neededDirects internal and external project team members including internal Design, Procurement, Operations, and IT/Network support teams Policy & Procedure DevelopmentContributes to creating and maintaining best in class policies and proceduresQualificationsExtensive experience in project and construction management preferredBachelor's degree preferredAbility and willingness to travelProven experience of project management in a construction environmentCustomer focusSelf-motivated and flexibleIn-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practiceExperienced in Construction procurement methodologiesEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, you may send an email to accommodations@equinix.com.
