This enablement spans products/services, processes, skills, and tools. The Sr. Manager, GTM Readiness Instructional Design is responsible for researching and innovating new ways to execute learning experiences and tools, as we move away from traditional learning and development modalities. A critical success factor will be ensuring all enablement is relevant and actionable for the different target audiences, reflecting knowledge the business, sales motions, and customer experience. The Sr. Manager of GTM Readiness Instructional Design position is a people manager role that is based in Dallas/Austin, TX, Toronto, or a USA-based remote office and will report to the VP, GTM Readiness.ResponsibilitiesLead, scale, and drive the content development team responsible for the design, development, and execution of scalable learning solutionsDrive ideation and execution for innovative enablement modalities based on target audience and content requirementsEnsure enablement exemplifies targeted audience relevant content that is consumable, actionable and provides the right level of detail based on knowledge gaps and/or skill requirementsPartner with target audiences and business stakeholders to better understand the needs and content relevancy of the roles we support through enablementPartner with GTM Readiness leads to understand priorities, audience challenges and skill/knowledge gaps on specific topics, opportunities, and objectives for success to develop an enablement strategyBuild innovative enablement solutions based on the target audience needs and requirementsLeverage and continuously enhance our customized Instructional Design methodology for executionProvide editorial and content reviews to all final deliverables to ensure audience relevancy, brand compliance, error-free copy, including online learning, job aids, leader's guides, participant materials, tools, and communicationsDrive and measure excellent execution and high-quality programs/projects using a menu of methodologies based on learner needsLead, develop and execute your own set of programs and projects as an instructional designerFacilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to small and large groups as neededManage and coach team, helping them grow their skills and maximize their impactQualifications10+ years of experience in managing a strategic training team such as Sales Enablement, Product Enablement or Learning & Development5+ years of experience working in and/or with sales and channelCreative, critical thinker, problem solver, can “think out of the box"Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and influence and align different perspectivesAbility to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it in crisp, clear language appropriate for a variety of audiencesProven success in creating a vast array of content developed using instructional design methodologyProven track record of scoping, building, and executing enablement programs, including program management and instructional designProficient in Articulate 360, video editing tools and other content development toolsStrong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and build new or improved enablement programs and training contentExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skillsProactive, self-directed and results orientedDemonstrated leadership and people management skillsAbility to travel up to 15% of the timeAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) requiredBachelor’s degree, or equivalentEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
