This is a remote position that is based in the Michigan/Ohio Region.We are looking for dynamic, curious, motivated, and self-starting Senior Solutions/Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This position is responsible for pre-sales technical engagement with the customer, pivoting between credible technical discussion and distilling technical concepts into simple business language reinforcing the Calix value proposition, deliver compelling presentations, and build customer aligned network designs. In this role, you will interact with and influence senior technical staff and business management within Calix’s telecommunications operator customers. You will provide demonstrations of Calix’s product capabilities and assist with lab and field trials. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience in a pre-sales position, and confident in both technical and business forums.Responsibilities and Duties:Pre-Sales technical support of Calix’s network solutions.Assist in the preparation of RFPs.Deliver technical sales-oriented presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management.Understand business requirements involved with technical account strategy.Assist customers and resellers in configuring and testing products and networks in lab and field trials.Provide leadership and guide customers on technical and operational issues within areas of expertise.Work with customers to architect network solutions in alignment with business needs.Deep understanding of the product portfolio to apply the best solutions.Influence decisions and adept at simplifying our Calix technology concepts.Thought leader and influencer who is fluent in Calix technologies.Mentor and counsel to Calix colleagues and fanatics.Research and stay up to date on the most recent industry standards and trends.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.BSEE/BSCS desired.Travel expectations: Up to 60% domestic travel.Experience partnering with cross functional teams on continuous improvement in product, education and training, testing methods, and demos.Strong people skills, a proven history of synthesizing and interpreting complex issues into solutions and the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple audiences and levels across organizations.Excellent presentation, written communication, and public speaking skills.Solid understanding of SaaS cloud-based solutions as an alternative to traditional hosted software.Experience with managed operational services solutions.Technical familiarity with Wi-Fi systems.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience in the Service Provider industry OR similar.Technical familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architecture.Mastery of Wi-Fi Standards and Managed Wi-Fi Solutions.Experience implementing Wi-Fi solutions and Subscriber Facing user applications.Understanding interactions with APIs (REST/JSON) including design, integration, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of operational and support (BSS/OSS) systems and integration considerations.Location:Remote-based position located in the Michigan/Ohio Region.#LI-Remote
