Our mission is focused on accelerating Broadband Service Provider adoption of Calix solutions driving delighted customers, BSP Transformation that leads to revenue and margin growth, and increased subscribers on Calix platforms.Regional Sales leaders are responsible for the development and execution of our overall Regional Sales strategy, and leading strategic interactions with our customers and prospects. This requires coordination of effort and resources across the entire Calix Sales organization (Executives, Solutions Engineers, Product Specialists etc.) with an emphasis on leading with a Value based sales methodologyAs a leader of our Regional Sales team, you will be responsible for a team selling to new Tier 3 accounts along with established Calix customers. Primarily, you will be responsible for ensuring the Regional Sales teams has all the tools necessary to deliver on the ambitious business goals Calix has set for them. This role reports into the Vice President, Western Regional Sales.Key Activities and Essential Duties:Manage the team to meet and exceed established sales goals.Manage the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of the sales team.Develop and drive territory strategy, business, and account planning.Ensure sales best practices are applied to support Value based selling, high velocity sales cycles, and high quality, predictable sales performance.Manage the sales pipeline and provide forecasts of sales revenue.Leverage sales leadership experience to coach, develop and motivate the team as they grow as sales professionals.Collaborate and build alignment with regional sales resources to bring subject matter expertise, strategy, and support for customer engagements.Work closely with company leadership to select, evaluate and recruit new sales talent as needed.5+ years of sales management experience.History of leading teams who have over-achieved quota (top 10-20% of company).In depth understanding of complex, cloud enabled business solutions with a specific focus on Communications Service Providers.Experience managing complex sales cycles from business champion to the CEO/CFO/CMO level.10+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales or pre-sales and account management experience.Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles and ownership of all aspects of territory management.Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative, and work well with customers both internal and external.Strong computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Previous Sales Methodology training, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferred
