You will be working on some of the most interesting and challenging problems in live music and you will have the opportunity to take our data-driven insights, convert them to recommendations and communicate those recommendations directly to our clients.In this collaborative role, you will query/pull data from multiple data sources, QA data, research and implement innovative ways to look at data, perform a wide range of formal and ad hoc analyses. You will identify opportunities for improvements to product features and drive overall engagement by innovating new ways to look at data and providing analysis and insights. You will partner with leaders across multiple functions including Business Intelligence, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Product & Finance to provide analyses covering product usage, cross-channel engagement, site analytics, incremental revenue streams, client analysis, and customer lifetime value.Similarly, you will have an enhanced focus on helping to tell the Music story to internal and external stakeholders.  This will lead to further business development opportunities, as well as a focus on metrics and findings that can be relayed to client-facing teams for public consumption.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Handle large data sets to help provide analyses and recommendationsAnalyze and translate data to help measure performance and provide actionable insights that help identify opportunities to help drive overall revenue and improve product featuresCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, gather their requirements, and define metrics that help measure performanceCompile, consolidate and validate data from multiple sources into digestible formatsQuery databases, create data sets (SQL) and build dynamic dashboards to track key KPIs, consumer/campaign insights, and empower channel leads to discover actionable insightsTrack and analyze data through exploratory data analyses to solve business questions and identify areas for optimization and automationUltimately develop and manage the Music analyst group, focusing on mentoring and education, while streamlining client analysis and deliverables.Work with various departments across Ticketmaster to collaborate and uncover shared data and insights opportunities.Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.Serve as resident expert in statistical analysis, including model development, validation, and maintenance.Query, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources and structures and carry out data cleansing and normalization tasks to ensure data integrity.Conduct ad-hoc analysis and presenting results to internal and external stakeholders.Interact with internal and external clients to develop hypotheses, scope project requirements, formulate and execution analyses, and present results and recommendations.Develop and maintain online dashboard summaries of data and campaign performance to facilitate learning and decision-making.Perform post-campaign analysis, including customer segmentation and conversion performance, and provide recommendation for improvement.Build PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports to summary results.Present results, insights, recommendations to internal and external clients.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Information Technology, Economics or related fields5+ years of relevant experience in analytics or a related field, such as data science, business intelligence, or data analysis3+ years of experience using statistical and computer languages (R, Python, SQL, Java, AWS, etc.)Prior experience in relational databases required (both traditional and cloud-based environments)Able to write and run SQL queries to pull data requiredExperience working with SPSS Modeler, SAS or similar statistical package is a plusAble to communicate complex analytics results and insights to less technical audience.Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Domo, lookr, etc.).Extensive experience with Excel functions and formulasStrong written and verbal communication skillsYOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)  Ability to partner with stakeholders, understand their use case, develop analytical framework, and provide data driven business insightsStrong interest and skills in problem solving and issue resolutionCurious-you are comfortable asking “What if?”-you are eager to learn and exploreConfident-you are capable of dealing with uncertainty and leading through it-you have strong opinions, but they are loosely held-you are comfortable speaking one on one or in front of a room of hundredsCollaborative- you thrive in a team environment, enjoy giving and receiving constructive criticism and are open to alternative viewpointsCreative- you are a broad thinker oriented toward solving problemsEmpathetic-you listen to understand and connect first before you respondArticulate-you are capable of distilling the complex into the simple-your written communication skills are outstandingTICKETMASTER VALUESRock Solid Reliability – I earn the trust of clients, co-workers and fans;
