Here, you can be yourself, do your best work, and have an important impact on buyers and sellers around the world.Primary Responsibilities:Advise on all regulatory issues associated with eBay providing payment services through its SG regulated payments entityCounsel product and business teams on how to structure new financial products and services in a manner that complies with applicable regulations in SG and other relevant jurisdictionsParticipate as a proactive business partner to senior managers and build a trusted advisor relationshipKeep up-to-date on regulatory and policy developments involving financial services across APACPartner closely with the eBay financial services compliance team to ensure applicable compliance programs meet regulatory expectationsActively collaborate with a wide variety of eBay teams, including engineering, product, and partnerships on a range of issues related to financial product development, production, and commercialization across APACManage complaints and legal escalations in relation to services provided by its SG regulated payments entityWhere required, support eBay’s expansion strategy and future licensing work across APACAssist with communications with the MAS or other regulators in APACSupervise counsel in Australia providing legal support for financial services in the AU marketJob Requirements:Qualification to practice law in Singapore7+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer working on complex technology matters involving financial services, preferably working with fintech companies on the legal and regulatory aspects of product developmentPrior experience engaging with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and advising on the Payment Services ActDeep understanding of financial services products, especially payments productsAbility to operate independently while demonstrating good judgment on escalations and cross-functional collaborationComfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced culture, and a practical, solutions-oriented focus to solving legal challengesSelf-motivated and self-directedStrong judgment and project management skills and someone who’s always thinking about better ways of doing thingsPossess and demonstrate shared leadership values and competencies – courageous, driven, inventive, team player, coach, and communicatoreBay Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
