The Role
** This position is open to US, Colombia, and Mexico Residents. The position requires full English Fluency as you will primarily be servicing a U.S. Market**
Apollo has a strong history of product market fit with SMBs.This segment is a pivotal segment for Apollo and will continue to be a growth segment for our business. Many of the customers that start here will grow with us and become our largest customers long-term. As the product continues to evolve, we will be able to solve even more use cases and strengthen our all-in-one solution. The SMB Manager will play a pivotal role in sales team culture, segment strategy, and cross-functional initiatives.
The SMB Manager’s primary responsibility is to build a repeatable sales motion with our SMB customer base. This includes optimizing our current new business motion to increase deal velocity and investment from new customers thru excellent discovery and value selling motions. Additionally, this leader will be instrumental in building a playbook that balances new business and upsell motions which are enhanced by Apollo’s PLG business model. These repeatable processes will be the foundation for massive growth over the coming years.
Responsibilities:
Achieve ARR targets; cultivate repeatable motions to drive pipe gen, deal size, win rates, etc.
Hire, onboard and retain world class talent–our people are our most valuable resource
Lead out in the development of segment strategy including headcount planning, initiative prioritization, and cross functional coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across key company initiatives
Build repeatable sales motions to build pipeline, acquire new logos and drive customer expansion
Represent Apollo in C-Level meetings
About you:
1-3 years of management experience; SaaS experience preferred
4+ years closing experience; Commercial/MM experience preferred
A passion for people leadership, coaching, and helping others achieve their goals
Experience building playbooks and repeatable processes for teams; preference for a combination of land and expand experience
An ability to balance multiple priorities including strategy, forecasting, and team enablement, etc.
Excellent customer skills; impeccable interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent collaboration skills–this is critical in a highly cross-functional role
The discipline and desire to work in, and enable others in a remote environment
