About the Role:
As the heart of Tubi's backend engineering, our Content and Client Services team works closely with all Tubi engineering teams, including teams like Machine Learning, Client, Video Transcoding, Growth Engineering, and Ad Tech, to ensure that our platform delivers a top-notch user experience. Our team's primary focus is on scaling our distributed systems to accommodate millions of users and billions of requests while maintaining high reliability and low latency. With our expertise and commitment to innovation, we strive to ensure that our viewers can enjoy their favorite content seamlessly and without interruption, no matter where they are in the world.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain high-performing Elixir-based distributed systems
Participate in the architecture, design and development of high-quality software solutions while ensuring the maintainability, scalability, and reliability of the systems
Drive innovation and experimentation by proposing and prototyping new features and technologies, and evaluating their potential impact on the system
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback (especially critical feedback) to ensure the quality and consistency of the codebase
Your Background:
5+ years of experience developing high performing, low latency, and scalable distributed systems (we use Elixir)
5+ years of experience with database technologies (we use PostgreSQL and Redis)
Experience with Microservices and containerization
Experience leading engineering initiatives to production across multiple teams
Bonus:
Previous experience using Elixir, Erlang, and OTP

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements , the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive plan, and various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. California, New York City, Westchester County, NY and Seattle, WA $160,000 — $224,000 USD Colorado and Washington (excluding Seattle, WA) $141,000 — $201,000 USD
