Through the Vivian Health platform, we enable staffing agencies and healthcare employers to find relevant talent more easily, communicate more efficiently, and make better hiring decisions, ultimately enabling them to serve patients more safely and effectively.   THE ROLE:   As the first Controller for the Company and reporting to the CFO at Vivian, you will have the opportunity to have an outsized impact for a fast-growing company.  You will have direct responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, financial operations, and internal controls. You will partner with the CFO and IAC finance team for tax, treasury, and audit. You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead a team as the Company continues to grow. The Controller will bring strong financial operational discipline and is a key partner across the organization who lends financial insight to support decision making and key strategic initiatives. S/he will develop and implement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's accounting and financial operations including assessment and implementation of new financial systems and processes.  Key responsibilities include: Drive financial accuracy and control of our accounting function to allow us to achieve our goals and meet audit standards Develop recommendations and drive execution on the redesign of core operational processes and systems to achieve dramatic improvements in quality, scalability and productivity across monthly close, financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable  Ensure accounting policies and practices comply with accounting standards, including US GAAP and SOX and oversee the Company’s governance policies, procedures, and control system Plan and manage activities to support internal and external audit and compliance requirements and develop relationships that effectively represent the Company’s interests with internal and external auditors   Consistently improve and enhance our capabilities to deliver best-in-class service to our customers. Partner with cross functional teams to help articulate internal product requirements and implement new tools to reduce manual input, increase accuracy and deliver an enhanced customer experience Develop, motivate, and retain top talent. Provide mentorship to support development of a high performing accounting team and translate business goals into priorities and individual performance measures for team members THE SKILL SET:  10+ years professional experience with 5+ in a cross-functional accounting department with leadership experience High growth startup and/or marketplace experience a plus CPA required Successful experience implementing financial systems and processes Demonstrated skill in scaling a business Experience hiring, developing and motivating a high performing team Strong desire to continuously improve operations and service excellence and have a desire to strip out time and cost that don’t create value Ability to execute hands-on, to learn quickly and achieve real wins in a fast-paced environment Ability to set clear, objective, & transparent goals, then take full ownership and attain them Ego-free and a strong collaborator who values great ideas from all people at all levels of the organization and engages in dialogue to reach conclusions High attention to detail and accuracy Curious in understanding the why’s and not just accepting status quo Strong Excel knowledge  SQL and Looker experience a plus THE SALARY, BENEFITS & PERKS: The range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 yearly salary, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
