PSC’s products include separation systems, on-orbit devices, and other electro-mechanical deployables. PSC’s ~18,000 sq. ft. facility includes areas for office, lab, shipping/receiving and material storage space.
PROGRAM MANAGER
Planetary Systems Corporation by Rocket Lab (PSC), a manufacturer of satellite mechanisms, is seeking a proactive and experienced program manager oversee project schedules, interface with customers, define internal programmatic processes, and lead decision-making strategy. PSC’s products include separation systems, on-orbit devices, and other electro-mechanical deployables. Candidates must be able to work independently in a small company environment. This position is not remote.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
Estimate cost and schedule resources for program execution during pre-contract program phase
Define program requirements (including Internal programs) based on customer proposals
Plan and monitor program execution with regard to resourcing, schedule, and budget
Identify and collaboratively implement systematic process improvements to various levels of the business
Work collaboratively with engineering teams to deliver reliable products on time
Analyze cost and schedule data to produce improved processes and outcomes
Identify, track, and mitigate technical and programmatic risks
Communicate with stakeholders to enable efficient decision-making
Maintain relationships with customers and work to build long-term partnerships
Maintaining reporting on the schedule progress, budget, and spending
Additional program management duties as necessary
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or BA in a relevant field
At least 2 years of project or program management experience, ideally in a production environment within the aerospace or a similar industry
Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
BS in Business, Operations, or Engineering
Passionate interest in the satellite industry
Passionate drive to learn new concepts and take on new challenges
Drive to independently and collaborative push programs to meet deadlines
Strong analytical mindset and sense of curiosity
Comfort in a small-company, start-up-like environment
Ability to work collaboratively with highly technical engineering peers
Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
Strong technical capability
Outstanding attention to detail
Excellent time management
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
