What We’re Looking For:
The Product Manager, Service Experience will join the product team with direct responsibility for the quality of the student experience from program application and enrollment through graduation and post-graduation career services. The PM will focus on a critical segment of the student journey and be accountable for designing and driving a research and data-informed process to develop a product that effectively serves the needs of our students and graduates while delivering the intended business value to 2U programs. Specifically, the PM will identify high-value interventions in the student experience, define segment roadmaps and execute iterative programs / projects to improve customer outcomes. The PM will work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data analysts and researchers and will foster strong, collaborative connections with business leaders in our degree, bootcamp and short course lines of business. We are looking for an extremely entrepreneurial individual with a bias for action and completion and a desire to move quickly.
Displays strong leadership, organizational and execution skills
Drives product management from planning to delivery and iteration
Engages customers, partners and internal stakeholders to determine business requirements, technical considerations and strategic objectives
Is the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals
Incorporates data, research and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps
Leads and motivates a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives, and maintains team health
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
You will establish product requirements, goals, indicators, and milestones and work in partnership with other teams to work on your roadmap
Envision, manage and communicate priorities, roadmap and product strategy to business and technology stakeholders
Identify and actively build connections with relevant subject matter experts across the company to surface insights, to get them excited about what your team is building, and to pave the way for smoother future rollouts
Gain a holistic understanding of customers’ needs and identify the most optimal user experience required to support that, with a keen eye for building a beautiful, scalable product
Ensure successful product launches with go-to-market activities and post-launch analysis to inform future product direction
Serve as a product owner on the scrum team(s) and work with engineers to deliver a quality product on time
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
You have 2-5+ years of experience in product management
You have a passion for delivering an outstanding digital product experience
You enjoy digging deep into the data, analyzing user feedback and using these insights to drive product improvements
Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap
You have a talent for building cross-functional connections with teams outside of your own
Experience working and delivering product or services in an agile/lean environment
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are great at explaining highly technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences
You have a can-do attitude, a bias for action and completion and an ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
You strike a healthy balance between speed of execution and maintaining a high-quality bar
Outcomes-motivated, ability to determine Indicators and explain how they can be met by the product plan
