Logistics Technician

We are seeking a Logistics Assistant to support the shipping and receiving function at Metagenomi. This role is on-site in our Emeryville office with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm.  This role will be based in Emeryville, California.   How you’ll contribute:  Assist with the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies for the company Scan, sort, label, organize, and keep an inventory of incoming and outgoing stock as appropriate Promptly receive and restock laboratory, office, and breakroom supplies Receive and unload large shipments potentially requiring the use of a pallet jack Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments Maintain a clean and well-organized shipping and receiving area Collaborate with purchasers, vendors, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. What you bring: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures, including customs regulations paperwork and specific courier (FedEx/UPS/DHL) shipping systems Experience with 5S organization techniques  DOT/IATA Hazardous shipping certification Experience and proficiency with Excel or google sheets  The physical ability to lift 50 pounds, go up and down stairs while carrying heavy loads (25+ pounds)  Strong written and verbal communication skills (bilingual, English and Spanish preferred) Extremely organized and able to efficiently manage your time and workflow, including skillfully prioritizing both long-term projects and day-to-day responsibilities Able to quickly learn and adapt to new environments and tools Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and solutions-oriented.   California Pay Transparency Disclosure: This position is classified as an non-exempt hourly, position under the Federal Labor Standards Act.  The anticipated hourly rate, for this position will be $30.00 .  You will also be eligible to receive equity, bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.
